: (1) There will be an Academic Council as a body to manage and regulate the educational, academic and research work of the institution.
(2) The composition of the academic council will be as follows:-
(a) Principal (b) Five persons nominated by the Assembly on the recommendation of the Executive Council from among the chairpersons of various thematic committees of the Foundation -members (c) Director -Member (d) Heads of the institutions' curriculum and examination bodies - members (e) two members, including at least one woman, nominated by the Assembly on the recommendation of the Executive Council from amongst the teachers; (f) At least two members, including one woman, nominated by the Assembly on the recommendation of the Executive Council from among persons who have made special contributions in the field of health. (g) Dean nominated by the Vice-Chancellor from among the Deans -Member Secretary
(3) The term of office of the members nominated in accordance with sub-section (2) shall be three years. (4) If the position of a nominated member becomes vacant for any reason, another person will be nominated for the remaining period according to the same procedure as was previously filled in that position.
(5) The procedure for the meeting of the Academic Council shall be as prescribed.
